The Iranian strikes followed an earlier attack on the Natanz nuclear enrichment facility in Iran. Israel has denied any involvement in the Natanz incident, which is located approximately 220 kilometers southeast of Tehran.
According to Israel's military, the missiles targeted the southern cities of Dimona and Arad. These locations are notable for their proximity to Israel's nuclear site and mark the first instance of Iranian missiles breaching Israel's air defense systems in this region.

The Israeli Ministry of Health reported that at least 180 individuals sustained injuries from the attacks on Dimona and Arad. Dimona is situated approximately 20 kilometers west of the nuclear research center, while Arad is about 35 kilometers to the north.
Despite the severity of the events, the UN nuclear watchdog confirmed that no damage was reported at the Israeli nuclear research center, nor were there any abnormal radiation levels detected.
