According to a report by the United Nations, over 36,000 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced across the occupied West Bank over the past year. The report highlights the expansion of illegal Israeli settlements and efforts to annex the territory. These developments are contributing to an acceleration of displacement activities.
The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights documented 1,732 incidents of violence involving Israeli settlers from November 2024 to the end of October 2025. This represents a 24% increase compared to the 1,400 incidents reported during the same period the previous year.
The report indicates that this violence, along with displacement orders, home demolitions, and military actions, has led to significant numbers of Palestinians fleeing their homes in the West Bank.
Approximately 32,000 Palestinians were displaced from the Jenin, Tulkarem, Nur Shams, and Far’a refugee camps in the northern part of the territory during an Israeli military operation.

In one recent incident, four members of a Palestinian family, including two children, were killed by Israeli forces in the village of Tammun near Tubas in the northern West Bank.
This incident has drawn criticism from various international bodies, with Amnesty International expressing concern over the use of deadly force and the possibility of extrajudicial executions.
The Israeli government’s decision to expand its authority over additional areas of the West Bank has also been condemned internationally. The UN has warned that such actions could lead to increased dispossession of Palestinians and the establishment of more illegal settlements.
