The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that Israeli air raids in the town of Nabi Chit, located in the eastern Bekaa Valley, resulted in at least 16 fatalities and 35 injuries.
There has been no official statement from the Israeli military concerning these operations. However, the military has conducted numerous attacks and deployed ground troops to southern Lebanon. The current operation marks the deepest incursion into Lebanon since November 2024, when Israeli forces captured a Hezbollah operative in Batroun.
The NNA reported active clashes along the eastern mountain range near the Lebanese-Syrian border, aimed at countering Israeli landing attempts.

In a separate statement, Hezbollah confirmed firing rockets as Israeli troops withdrew, targeting evacuation zones near Nabi Chit.
Nabi Chit experienced at least 13 Israeli air strikes on Friday, with the Lebanese Health Ministry reporting nine deaths. Despite a national ban on military activities by Hezbollah, the group continues to engage in combat operations.
The ongoing conflict has resulted in significant civilian displacement. The Lebanese Health Ministry reported 217 fatalities and 798 injuries due to Israeli attacks this week, with approximately 95,000 individuals displaced.
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam addressed the situation, highlighting the unprecedented humanitarian and political consequences of the displacement, and emphasized that Lebanon did not choose to enter this conflict.
