Israel has announced the termination of humanitarian operations in Gaza conducted by Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières, MSF) due to the organization's failure to provide a list of its Palestinian staff. This decision impacts the availability of life-saving assistance in the region.
In December 2025, Israel declared it would prevent 37 aid organizations, including MSF, from operating in Gaza starting March 1, 2026, citing non-compliance with a requirement to submit detailed information about Palestinian employees. This action has been met with significant criticism from non-governmental organizations and international bodies.
The Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism stated that MSF's activities in the Gaza Strip will be terminated due to the organization's non-compliance with the requirement to submit lists of local employees. This requirement applies to all humanitarian organizations operating in the region.

MSF has been a significant provider of medical and humanitarian aid in Gaza, particularly since hostilities began in October 2023. The organization contributes approximately 20% of hospital beds in the territory and operates around 20 health centers. In 2025, MSF conducted over 800,000 medical consultations and more than 10,000 infant deliveries, in addition to providing drinking water.
The cessation of MSF's operations could severely affect critical services such as emergency care, maternal healthcare, and pediatric treatment, potentially leaving a substantial portion of Gaza's population without essential medical care.
