Ceasefire Agreement and Disarmament in Gaza

A United States official has indicated that disarmament by Hamas in Gaza will be accompanied by an amnesty. This statement followed the recovery of the remains of the last Israeli captive in Gaza, facilitating the next phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement established in October.

The official stated that discussions are ongoing regarding Hamas’s disarmament, with the potential for amnesty as part of the process.
