Al-Manar TV verified al-Din's death, noting his previous role as a presenter of religious programs. Hezbollah described the incident as a "treacherous assassination," noting al-Din's position as a main preacher in Al-Hawsh, Tyre.
Lebanese Minister of Information, Paul Morcos, condemned the strike, emphasizing the need for international intervention to safeguard media professionals in Lebanon. The attack forms part of a broader series of incidents where journalists have been targeted, with varying reports indicating between six to ten Lebanese journalists killed by Israeli actions since 2023.

Tehran has echoed these sentiments, cautioning of significant retaliation to any aggressive actions by the US.
