The Lebanese news agency, NNA, reported that the incident occurred in Kfar Dunin, Bint Jbeil. The Israeli military stated that the operation targeted two Hezbollah operatives, one of whom was described as an "engineering terrorist" involved in efforts to reestablish organizational structures.
This operation is part of a series of military actions that have resulted in the deaths of over 300 individuals in Lebanon since the ceasefire of November 2024, including 127 civilians. Recent Israeli operations have also involved the evacuation of villages in southern and eastern Lebanon.
