Four individuals associated with the Palestine Action group, which is designated as a terrorist organization in the United Kingdom, are continuing their hunger strikes in various prisons across the country. Four other members have ceased their hunger strikes, with some having required hospitalization.
The remaining individuals on hunger strike are Heba Muraisi, Kamran Ahmed, Teuta Hoxha, and Lewie Chiaramello. These individuals have been involved in actions related to their alleged participation in activities targeting the UK subsidiary of Elbit Systems and a Royal Air Force base, both resulting in property damage. They face charges including burglary and violent disorder.
The hunger strikers have articulated five primary demands:
Immediate bail Right to a fair trial, including access to relevant documents Ending censorship of their communications Revocation of the proscription of Palestine Action Closure of Elbit Systems operations in the UK
The group was officially proscribed by the UK parliament on Thu, Jul 2, 2025, classifying it as a terrorist organization. This has led to over 1,600 related arrests and ongoing legal challenges to challenge the ban.

Ahmed, aged 28, is detained at HMP Pentonville. He has been on hunger strike for over 50 days. Ahmed was hospitalized multiple times due to health complications arising from his hunger strike.
Hoxha, aged 29, is held at HMP Peterborough. She has been on hunger strike for more than 54 days. Her transfer to the current facility coincided with the parliamentary vote to proscribe Palestine Action.
Chiaramello, aged 22, is on day 28 of his hunger strike at HMP Bristol. He faces charges related to an incident at RAF Brize Norton. His trial is set for January 18, 2027.
Four other activists associated with Palestine Action have ended their hunger strikes. The situation continues to evolve as legal and humanitarian considerations intersect.
