On Thursday, Lebanese state media reported that an Israeli drone strike resulted in the deaths of two individuals in a minibus on the Hosh al-Sayyed Ali road in the Hermel district, eastern Lebanon. This incident occurred amidst ongoing ceasefire violations.
The ceasefire between Israel and the Lebanese group Hezbollah, established in November 2024, has been repeatedly violated. According to an Israeli military spokesperson, the recent strike targeted a "terrorist operative" in al-Nasiriyah, eastern Lebanon.
Additional incidents were reported, including an Israeli drone strike injuring a passerby in Jennata, Tyre district, southern Lebanon, on Wednesday. Since the ceasefire, Israeli operations have resulted in over 300 fatalities in Lebanon, including approximately 127 civilians, as per United Nations data. The Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED) recorded nearly 1,600 Israeli strikes across Lebanon from January to late November.
Israel continues to justify its air raids as efforts to dismantle Hezbollah's military capabilities, in line with the ceasefire agreement's disarmament requirements.
