Syrian government forces and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have agreed to cease hostilities in the northern city of Aleppo. This decision follows a series of attacks resulting in the deaths of at least two civilians. The Syrian state news agency SANA reported that the army's general command has instructed its units to stop targeting SDF fighters.
The clashes occurred during a visit by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. Turkey considers the SDF a 'terrorist' organization. Fidan expressed concerns that the SDF might not fulfill its commitment to integrate into Syria's state armed forces by the agreed year-end deadline.
