The collapse resulted in the death of Mohammed al-Helou, a neighbor assisting with repairs. Six others sustained injuries, including two children.
The structural integrity of the al-Hussari home was significantly weakened by previous military actions. The area has been subjected to extensive bombings, contributing to the vulnerability of buildings.
