Participants, such as Salah Abu Rukba, report experiencing comfort and temporary relief from their injuries while using VR headsets. Abu Rukba stated that the technology helps him forget the destruction and the sounds of war.
The initiative is led by Gaza MedTech, a project initially launched by Palestinian innovator Mosab Ali. The organization faces challenges due to restrictions on bringing spare parts into Gaza, affecting the sustainability of offering VR services.
