At least four individuals have been confirmed deceased due to Israeli air strikes on eastern and southern Lebanon, as reported by Lebanon's Ministry of Health. These actions represent a breach of the ceasefire agreement established in November of the previous year.
On Thursday, strikes targeted mountainous regions in eastern Lebanon, resulting in two fatalities. An additional two individuals were killed in a separate incident in Arabsalim, southern Lebanon. Reports indicate that an elderly woman was among the casualties.
The National News Agency (NNA) stated that violent air strikes were carried out by Israeli warplanes in the eastern mountain range of the Bekaa region, near the Syrian border. Two other strikes were reported to have targeted the Hermel range in northeastern Lebanon.
The Israeli military has acknowledged conducting operations against sites associated with Hezbollah in eastern and northern Lebanon. Targets included a military camp and a facility for producing precision missiles in the Bekaa Valley. Additionally, a Hezbollah weapons storage facility in Nabatieh was also struck. There has been no immediate response from Hezbollah.

Israel continues to conduct frequent assaults on Lebanese territory, predominantly in the southern regions, despite the peace agreement which mandates a complete withdrawal of military presence from border outposts.
The conflict began in October 2023 following Hezbollah's rocket attacks towards Israel, which were claimed to be in solidarity with Gaza. This was in response to Israel's military actions in the Palestinian territory. By the time a ceasefire was negotiated in November of the subsequent year, the conflict had resulted in over 4,000 fatalities and approximately 17,000 injuries.
The truce remains precarious, exacerbated by efforts from the United States and Israel to implement a disarmament plan for Hezbollah, facing resistance from the group and its affiliates. Recent Israeli strikes resulted in at least nine fatalities last month and involved incidents near United Nations peacekeepers in Lebanon.
