On Fri, Oct 10, 2025, the ministry detailed that two individuals were wounded by live ammunition, while many others suffered injuries from physical assaults.
The attacks occurred in the towns of Beita, Huwara, and Deir Sharaf within the Nablus governorate. Illegal settlers reportedly assaulted Palestinian farmers harvesting olives in the Jabal Qamas area of Beita, resulting in property damage and injuries.
Photographer Jaafar Ishtayeh was among those targeted, with his vehicle set on fire during the incident.

At approximately 09:00 GMT, a group of around 70 settlers attacked olive pickers and journalists with sticks and stones. The Palestine Red Crescent Society provided medical treatment to seven individuals, including journalists Jaafar Ishtayeh and Wahaj Bani Moufleh.
Israeli forces conducted operations in the area, utilizing stun grenades and tear gas, which led to cases of suffocation among residents. Additionally, Israeli forces arrested Sidqi al-Aghbar in Nablus and conducted a raid in the nearby city of Tubas.
These incidents coincide with the olive harvest season, a critical period for many Palestinian families economically. The attacks by settlers are reported to frequently escalate during this time.
More than 700,000 settlers reside in 150 settlements and 128 outposts in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, considered illegal under international law. Settlers are often armed and accompanied by Israeli soldiers, leading to property destruction and violence against Palestinian residents.
Official Palestinian statistics indicate over 1,000 Palestinian fatalities and more than 20,000 arrests in the West Bank since the onset of recent hostilities. Between Oct 7, 2023, and Dec 16, 2024, approximately 1,800 settler attacks were recorded in the region.
