Following the implementation of a ceasefire on Fri, Oct 10, 2025, Ismail al-Thawabta, director of the Gaza Government Media Office, emphasized the necessity for Gaza's reconstruction. Al-Thawabta urged the international community, including the United Nations and the International Court of Justice, to enforce accountability for alleged war crimes. An independent commission is sought to investigate these claims and to facilitate the return and compensation of displaced individuals.
